NOTE: This has now been fixed in the Navisworks 2012 Service Pack 1
Over the last few releases Navisworks has added plenty of tools to improve how you view results of Clash Tests including Viewing in Context and Dimming other objects. This year we have a Wireframe mode so you can more easily see where the clash is in relation to nearby parts. Unfortunately some people haven't been able to take full advantage as they're getting views like this this.
Luckily it's a simple workaround, this is caused by the lighting settings, on the Viewpoint tab just change the lighting settings from Full Lights to Scene Lights.
And you'll get something more like this!
Perfect to see the point of the clash, nearby objects and you can use SwitchBack to move the part straight away in the original drawing.
Let us know how you get on and if there's any other Clash Detective frustrations you have that we may be able to help with.
